1. Download and Install the Cash app
The Cash app is available to download for free from the App Store.

From there you will see a link that will bring you to the App Store or Android App store depending on which device you are using.
- Open the App Store.
- Tap the Search tab.
- Type "Cash" in the bar.
- Tap GET next to the Cash app.
2. Open the Cash App
After the Cash App is downloaded, click open or tap the app icon on your home screen.
3. Enter in Your Phone Number
To create a new account, enter in your phone number and information when prompted. You will receive a 6-digit confirmation code sent to the phone number you provide. Enter in the confirmation code on the Cash app. Tap Next when you are finished.

4. Type in your Debit Card
In order to use the Cash app you need to have a debit card number. Enter it in the field and tap Next.
5. Create a Cashtag Name
Your cashtag begins with a dollar sign ($). Enter a unique cashtag name that you and your friends will use when sending and receiving money.
6. Invite Friends (optional)
If you want to invite your friends to join the Cash app, tap Invite. When your friends sign up you will both receive $5!
How to Send Money Using the Cash App
- Open the Cash app.
- Type in a dollar amount.
- Tap Pay.
- Select a Name, $Cashtag, SMS, or Email to send money to.
- Add a note (optional).
- Tap Pay to send.
- Tap Done to finish.

How to Request Money Using the Cash App
- Open the Cash app.
- Type in a dollar amount.
- Tap Request.
- Select a Name, $Cashtag, SMS, or Email to send money to.
- Add a note (optional).
- Tap Request.
- Tap Done to finish.

How to Refund a Payment
- Open the Cash app.
- Tap the notification icon in the upper right corner.
- Tap a Payment.
- Tap Received.
- Tap Refund.
- Tap OK to confirm.
Buy Bitcoin Using the Cash App
- Open the Cash app.
- Tap the [Cash & BTC] button at the top of the main page.
- Tap BTC in the upper right corner.
- Tap Got It to confirm you understand the risks.
- Tap Buy below the graph on the BTC page.
- Select a dollar amount.
- Tap Buy.
- Tap Confirm.
Sell Bitcoin Using the Cash App
- Open the Cash app.
- Tap the [Cash & BTC] button at the top of the main page.
- Tap BTC in the upper right corner.
- Tap Sell below the graph on the BTC page.
- Select a dollar amount.
